Rollers for one of the longest belt conveyors ever built in Asia
In July 2010 the Company Rulmeca Tianjin Co. Ltd completed the delivery of rollers for the second phase of the important project of China Resources Cement (Huarun Group) in Fengkai/China, one of the longest belt conveyors ever built in Asia. The order comprised more than 180 000 rollers for 2 belt conveyors lines of 40 km for the transport of 30 000 t/d from the quarry to the cement plant in Fengkai/China – one of the biggest cement plants in the world. Every line is composed of 3 curved overland conveyors powered by a total of 19 groups of 750 kW, with a belt speed of 5 m/s. The Rulmeca rollers are from the PSV series, type PSV/1, 3, 4 – mainly with tube diameter of 159 mm (Fig.). The conveyor belt is designed for a belt speed of 5 m/s, a tension of 3150 N/mm and a belt width of 1400 mm with a thickness of 24 mm.
