Metso

As a result of the continuous development of cone crusher technology, Metso will present the new HP200e cone crusher for the aggregates market at steinexpo 2023 under the motto “Evolution in Motion”. The new HP200e offers more performance and uptime in a more sustainable way through kinematics and new chamber designs. The new liners are installed in the crushers without grout, reducing maintenance breaks and making liner replacement faster, safer and more environmentally friendly.

“The evolution of Metso’s cone crusher technology brings numerous benefits and offers aggregate producers a real evolution in terms of performance, uptime, ease of maintenance, as well as broader coverage of potential applications,” explains Ilkka Somero, product manager for Nordberg HP cone crushers at Metso. “Specific benefits include higher performance, a 10 % increase in crushing cone manoeuvrability, +20 % more kW output, +20 % more power and new, more efficient crushing chambers. An 'anti-spin' brake prevents critical speeds of the cone crusher in favour of increased uptime. Significant improvements in serviceability and a feed cone lifting tool for the feed hopper are also among the benefits of the further development. In addition, the new HP200e crushers are also a more environmentally friendly solution as they do not require backing material. We are very pleased to be able to offer customers this latest development in our leading crusher technology,” he continues.

Metso promises continuous product support and a readily available aftermarket for the HP200e crushers. Most spare parts for the current HP200 and the new HP200e are identical to ensure a worldwide spare parts supply for the new equipment. To this end, Metso has already created a starting inventory for HP200e-specific parts in Europe and North America. In addition, a complete range of HP200e crushing chambers is available in the main warehouses for the launch markets. Metso offers a “crushing chamber upgrade kit” for the established HP200 cone crushers, which enables the installation of no-backing chambers. This gives existing customers the same health, safety and environmental benefits as those of the new HP200e model.

In addition, Metso will also be presenting the L 120-330 mobile duo crusher plant from Swedish manufacturer Jonsson at steinexpo, as well as the Orion HR200 horizontal slurry pump and much more.
